Title: Palace of Labour

Description: The neoclassical building, originally built by the insurance company “Russia”, occupies almost an entire block and combines residential apartments, retail and office space. During the Soviet era, it housed various institutions, including the Palace of Labor. The building is richly decorated with sculptures, including the central sculptural group, ironically titled "Mercy of Russia", which miraculously survived the Russian shelling.
